WOW!! BIG Sale and Free Hookin At Ault’s Rug Hooking

Hope you are ready for the BIG wool sale at Ault’s. The shop is filled with wool and we have about a thousand yards on bolts in the back room. The sale officially starts on Thursday February 2 at 1:00 p.m.  Then, on Saturday, February 4th (my birthday–70 years ago) we have a free hookin for everyone who comes in. Bring a project to work on if you can. All wool in the shop will be $19.95 per yard.

Why Have A BIG Sale Now?

We are downsizing the inventory of wool that we have.  We are doing this so that we can rent the west half of the two display rooms we currently use. Also, selling wool is getting to be a very competitive business since several wholesalers are now into the vending and retail aspects of wool sales. 

What Are We Staying With for Our Niche?

We continue to build our own hooking frames featuring the roller frame mechanism, floor stands for our frames and most other frames on the current market, fabric cutter machine holder stands, hooks with decorative wooden handles and shapes specially turned to fit your hand, proddy frames and tools and of course our Ault’s Wool Fabric Cutting Machine and the Ault’s Universal Cutter heads that fit our machine and another one that is back on the market. We can’t say the name but probably you know the machine we are referring to.  

OH, by the way, we also do stained glass window panels, stained glass night lights,  decorator stained glass table lamps and swag lights. We also do matting and framing of art work. Need to have a rug framed?

As our wool inventory diminishes we will have some very nice ANTIQUE primitive furniture pieces to sell. Seems like everyone always admires the long table in the front display room. Well, it will soon be available. Gloria has priced several items that might fit well into your wool storage area.

We will be glad to send you swatches of our most popular wools. The swatch kit sells for $5.00 on our web site and ships FREE. Or, you can send us a $5.00 check and we will send the current swatch kit directly to your home.

Ault’s Rug Hooking Updates-Please Notice

I have several items to update you on with this post. So, here goes!!

1. Our Blog site (not our web site) was recently hacked. Who would want to do that? There is nothing to get on the blog. Apparently some Moron had nothing better to do.  Thanks to our web master Annie for getting us back up and running.

2. We will be open on January 5th and 6th, 2012 from 1-4:00. Then we will be closed the rest of January. We will follow up on emails, orders and phone calls to my cell (419-347-9957) even though the front door will be locked. If you need rug hooking supplies during the month try calling me to see if we can set up an appointment to meet or just order from our web site at www.aults.com .

3. When we re-open the doors on Thursday, February 2nd, 2012, for our huge wool sale begins. All wool in the store will be $19.95 per yard. We are contemplating (considering) getting our wool inventory down a significant amount. Many rug hookers now order their wool directly from the folks we purchase wholesale from. It seems like they sometimes sell it for practically the same price we have in the wool and we sort of understand why some rug hookers might bypass us and buy direct in today’s economy. Seems like frequently we have to hold our store inventory for months at a time before the wholesaler’s inventory is gone and then our stock sells.  We are providing a service to rug hookers looking for the most popular wool colors and patterns that are no longer available from the wholesalers. We just cannot continue to tie up our revenue to serve as a backup source of out-of-stock items.

Our normal wool price for several years has been in the $32-36.00 range and since we do not have a market that supports $50.00 or more wool prices, we are looking at all options regarding our wool inventory.

Our special price durning February, 2012, is $19.95 per yard.

4. FREE hookin February 4th, 2012

Several months every year we sponsor a FREE hookin on the first Saturday of the month.  Hope you might come for our next event. It starts at 10:00 a.m. and runs until every rug  hooker is finished for the day.

5. Dont forget, we take trade ins on our Ault’s Wool Fabric Cutting machine. With recent increases in competitors pricing, our machine and Universal Cutter Heads are well priced in a competitive market. Recently Fraser increased their MSRP to $340.00 for a Model 500-1 machine with one cutter head.  Our machine with no adjusting, no wrenches, and easy drop in cutter head changing is still priced at $399.95.

Well, hope you had a great Thanksgiving Day. We went to two dinners and had a great time. One family has a house cat so we did not stay long since I have a big allery to cat dander. On the way home I thought of all the Black Friday sales I had seen in the news papers. Used Rug Hooking Equipment For Sale At Ault’s

A few years back I sold a Floor Stand and Large Frame to a rug hooker who was working on a big rug. Guess what? She finally finished the rug and recently she brought the frame and floor stand back to trade for something else.  This is the Large Ault’s Roller Frame that measures 30 inches long and 15 inches wide so it is great when you work on big rugs. The floor stand is adjustable in height, allows you to twist the frame 360 degrees and it also tilts to fit your hooking position.

So, we have the unit here in the shop and it is priced way down from the price for a new one. It is in almost new condition. We have the set priced at $250.00. November 2011 Special At Ault’s Rug Hooking

WOW!!! Where did October go? Here we are into November already. SO, what is our November Special here in the store? Last month we gave free shipping on the Ault’s Wool Fabric Cutting machine. This month we are back to a fantastic deal on wool.

If you have ever been to our store you know we have a lower level down three steps from the main sales floor. Off of the lower level is a lot of wool off to the right in what I call the “Alcove Room” . There might be 400 yards of ready to cut wool in that room.

Well, here’s the scoop on the Ault’s November Sale. All the wool in the “Alcove Room” is reduced in price to $24.00 per chunk. The chunk we are talking about was one full yard before we washed and dried it. This includes wool in the baskets on the floor and all the wool on the shelving in the Alcove Room. Lots of the wool in the Alcove is darker colors and just right for a lot of background work on your rug.

I know everyone reading this is not able to get to the store. We have many, many customers that have never been here in person. They are our valued web site customers.
