The Townsend Cutting Machine is the Cadillac of all rug hooking cutters. It is heavy duty, never needs sharpening, very quiet and easy to use. The machine clamps securely to a flat surface. Changing cutter heads is really simple and requires no tools. Flip the lever, lift out the cutter head, drop in the new cutter head and flip the lever again. If you want a functional way to hold your Fraser, Townsend, Rigby, Honey Doo or Bolivar machines so it is easier to cut strips without clamping the machine to your furniture, then try our cutter box. It has a cavity to hold wool to be cut or your cut strips. When you are not using the cutter you can hook the machine securely into the bottom of the box.

The Fraser 500-1

The Fraser Model 500-1 clamps onto a flat surface and has a large adjusting knob for easy tension adjustment. A wrench (included) is used to change cutterheads. This machine cuts strips as narrow as 2/32” for rug hooking and as wide as 2” for rug braiding cuts. The Fraser Cutter comes with one cutter head of your size choice. PLEASE specify the size cutter you need.

If your Fraser 500-1 or Rigby Model H or D machines don't seem to work as well as they use to, they might need to be cleaned and serviced. Send your machine to us and we will disassemble, clean, lubricate and make minor adjustments needed to get your machine back into tip-top shape. We'll work on it and replace badly worn cutterheads. The basic charge is $29.95 plus parts and shipping. If you want your machine re-painted, there is an additional $25.00 charge. Please send us an and give us the details on your machine.
