After a very slow summer here at Ault’s, we are now getting back into the swing of things. In the past 10 days, we vended at the Crooked River Hookin last Saturday when almost 150 rug hookers gathered to celebrate Hooktober Fest. A really nice day was had by all. Thank you to the sponsors of the event.
As many of you know, we specialize in new and used equipment for rug hooking. We have used Fraser and Rigby machines priced from $150.00 to $325.00. The price varies according to Make, Model, and Age of the machine. These are machines we get here as trade-ins for our Ault’s Wool Fabric Cutting machine. We clean, lubricate, adjust and fix any issues. Then we sell them to mostly newer rug hookers since it is an easy way to get into hooking without spending several hundred dollars. Please call us at 419-347-9957 if you have questions about these used models.
Another way we are supporting the rug hooking industry is by manufacturing cutter heads and cleaning fingers for Rigby machines. I believe Rigby has closed down manufacturing but there are many good machines still cutting wool every day. We have several sizes of new cutter heads and the matching cleaning finger, including size 5,6,8 and 3/8 inch. Also, we have quite a few smaller sizes that we have sharpened to a like-new condition. Cutter heads are $62.50 each (plus shipping) and matching cleaning fingers are $12.50 each.
If you are ready to get a brand new Ault’s Wool Fabric Cutting Machine, we have them in stock and ready to ship. Similar to the older Townsend machines, ours uses drop-in, lift-out cutter cartridges. No adjusting the machine to cut the size strips you want. Our cutter cartridges also fit the machines that were made by Townsend.
The machine retails for $315.00 and each cutter cartridge is $175.00. Includes a nice fabric carrying case to protect your machine. Shipping is $20.00 to the continental USA.
Our Aults.com web pages are being brightened up for easier use. Our Grand Daughter is into that new stuff and she is doing the design work. The new site may be available around years end.
That’s all for now. More next month. Be sure to call us if you have equipment questions.
