Used Rug Hooking Cutters Needed

Maybe it is the season or maybe there are just a lot of rug hookers looking for used fabric cutters. Whatever the reason, I have several requests for used Fraser and Bliss machines. We normally get several in on trade every year about this time, but right now I have more interested rug hookers who want to get a machine for cutting wool.

I purchase used machines and then service them to be sure they are dependable. Then we sell them mostly to newer rug hookers who don’t want to spend a lot of money on a new machine. Of course, we sell our Ault’s Wool Fabric Cutter and take used Fraser, Bliss and Rigby machines as part of the sale.

So, if you have a rug fabric cutting machine that is sitting idle, please give me a call at 419-347-9957 to discuss a deal. Or, bring it into the store at 49 East Main Street, Shelby, OH 44875.

    Hello Sandra,

Today is your lucky day. Sure we have the Fraser (bliss) cutter heads you want. They are used but quite nice. We get used heads when rug hookers trade in their machine for our Ault’s Wool Fabric Cutting Machine. Please reply to my office email at Larry.ault@gmail.com or call my cell at 419-347-9957.

Could you tell me if you or anyone you know – works on Frazier cutters? I have model 500- older one and it needs some work- sometime the handle will hang on the thumb screw! I really don`t want to buy a new one!

Hi Larry, I wrote you about my Rigby. I’m considering a new cutter. The four cutters that seem to be mentioned the most are a. the Ault b. Honeydoo c. Bee Line/Townsend and d. the Bolivar. I’m so confused. I’ve heard good and bad things about the new Bee Line. I saw some woman on youtube adjusting the press with a wrench. That looked like a pain in the brain. I want the darn thing to cut evenly and straight without constant adjustments. I also want ease of operation as in changing the blades, especially if it only holds one blade at a time. Cindy Gay recommended your Alt while Laura Pierce recommended the Honeydoo… The new Bee Line is sold everywhere. The Bolivar is Canadian and I’d rather buy American. Any thoughts? It’s a big purchase for me and I want to make the right choice.
